Saab 9-4X is a planned small SUV similar in size to the BMW X3 based on a vehicle architecture shared with a small Cadillac SUV. No launch date has been given, but industry sources expect sales to begin in 2009. The main problem, according to Svante Kinell at the marketing department at Saab, is to find the right diesel engines for the European market.
